okay, so I'm not that great...

....at blogging.
haha.

i just gotta say, i picked up a huge stack of papers at HobbyLobby for 10 bucks. 10. 180 sheets of paper for 10 bucks. I think thats a deal. A heck of a deal. I love shopping there for my scrapbooking supplies, because it is SO cheap, but they carry a wonderful variety of supplies for the advanced scrapbooker. I've also gone to the "professional scrapbook store" in my town, and I find their stuff to be 3 times as much as HobbyLobby, even their clearance is more expensive then the same exact product hobbylobby carries. It makes me chuckle because I feel like hobbylobby is my litte secret find, although I'm sure lots of people shop there for thier supplies. But when I do REALLY need that ONE thing to complete my page, I'll hop over to that store, or Micheals, who is also, expensive compared to hobbylobby. I mean, their SALE on paper, 4/$1.00 is Hobby Lobby's regulaaaaar price, not to mention when it goes on sale, you can get 8 sheets for a buck! But I'm excited because I bought paper, and I'm gonna go organize it now. :) kapeace.

I'm making Valentine's Day cards for my girlfriends.
I've dated, and had boyfriends, but NEVER on Valentine's.
Apparently I'm not Cupid's favorite buddy. Okay whatever.

I will post the cards as soon as I finish them.
I work two shifts tommarow, so Saturday? Hopefully.

I'm currently addicited to:

3. I Wanna Know-Joe (song)
4. watching FRIENDS
5. Working

Random, but I noticed I've been repeating a lot of stuff lately.
I hope all is well with you. Pop in to say hey, I'd love it!

Spare time, on surgery time.

I got my widsom teeth pulled yesterday.
All four of them.
Thankfully, my recovery is going well.
I haven't looked like the darnest chimpmunk.
I was stuffed with gauze yesterday, but I'm gauze free today.
In a few, I gotta go do a couple of the 20 steps to keep me on the path of recovery.
I was told I need to brush my teeth, which freaks me out with the idea of stiches in my mouth. I will give it a soft attempt and see how it goes. But its also really gross not brushing teeth. Yick.
Been living on strawberry applesauce and Frostys. Its an alright diet for me:) Today I am upgrading to Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Mmmm.

Now, the thing about this whole widsom teeth, I had to take time off work. And I would love to use my spare time to scrapbook. But thats sad, it seems like the only time I get spare time, is when I have sugery. How sad. I'm hoping that after my bubble bath in a few,I will be well enough to scrapbook. I have to finish 3 scrapbooks by Monday night.
1. Scrapbook for my best friend Lindsey and I...I'm making two, exact copies. One for her, and one for me.
2. Scrapbook for my other best, Kate. A bleated birthday gift. Her birthday was in December, after we all went home for break. She did mention to me that she would love to have a scrapbook of us from me. Tends to be what I make for all my girlfriends. This one should be a little easier because it is a cordinating scrapbook, where I picked out one theme of paper to use. I will just have to be creative with embellishments and titles.

Speaking of my break from college life. It got extended a lot longer. Meaning I am taking a semester off and then transferring to a different school in the fall, one that is closer to home. Lots of reasons why. Has NOTHING to do with the school I was at, I LOVED LOVED it there, but unfortunatly, life didn't pan out so I could have everyway I want. But I recently discovered a very good friend of mine from high school is also transferring to the school we are both going to in the Fall of 2008. So we are looking at rooming together, getting an apartment. That is exciting and scary!

Okay, I'm off to rinse with warm salt water, brush my teeth, take a nice warm bubble bath while reading The Nanny Diaries. Then hopefully I can bear sitting up and watching a movie or two while scrapbooking :). Gotta get those books done!

Blessings,
-L

P.s. Does anyone read this? If so, I'd love to hear from you!

New Scrap Room!!

So if you read my last post, you know that I was debating on how to get all my scrap supplies together, well I got a new and bigger room, where there is enough space for a BIG desk to hold all of my supplies, closet for all my clothes, shelving in the room for all my pictures! The only thing left is to retrive all the decorations and etc from my dorm back at school. I'm so excited! Just a few random projects I have done that I wanted to share. One is a photo frame, it was so simple using paint, rubons and rinestones. And the other is just Christmas thank you cards, that were reall fun to make. Right now I'm on a streak making tons of picture frames to randomly give to the people I love! Micheals sells wooden frames for a buck each, quite the deal if you ask me!

If ya didn't know, now you do.

If ya didn't know, that I was a college student, now you do. When I was home over the summer, I worked at the same scrapbooking store I worked at through high school. Therefore I aquired a lot of suppplies to add to my collection, and always searched through the clearance, in hopes of finding something worth that yellow price mark, screaming, CLEARANCE, BUY ME OR I'LL BE GONE FOREVER! Its not like I would know what I have. My mom says I have enough supplies to last me the next 10 years. Obviously she never got bit with addiction of buying supplies for scrapbooking is truly a hobby in itself! I don't know about you, but I LOVE buying supplies, at a deal, then organzing it with my existing supplies. Oh I love doing that, and sorting my ribbions and buttons and embellishments. I love organzing that type of stuff!

Okay I just realized I rambled a ton that has nothing to do with the point I was trying to get at. The point I was getting at is that over the summer, I had a scrapbooking corner in my room, all nice and organzied with a little table, and place for my laptop to watch movies while I scrapbook. Well I spent just about every freetime I had there at that table scrapbooking! But my mom decided for no reason, to move it all to the basement, and now its trapped in the corner with other random boxes. If I move it, I want it in my room. I hate the idea of being isolated in the basement, I like being around people and what not. I'm debating weather or not I'm going to haul everything back up to my room...or just let this winter break pass me by without scrapbooking. Now I can't bear the thought of that. So I guess I'm just pondering when I'm actually going to do that!

Well my family has Christmas early, and we are having ours tommarow morning, so I'm really excited! You're never to old for the excitement of Christmas. But I'm off to go browse at everything I could want in my scrapbooking collection! aka... I'm off to work!

Blessings,
-L

P.S. I finally finished my scarf last night, with fringe. It's a basic grey/blackish scarf that will go with anything and keep me warm! I will get pictures of it up soon! I plan on picking up another roll of yarn today to start a new one! It only took ONE skien of yarn, yay!

My Challenges For You

I have two separate challenges, which you will see in the two pages I will post below.
The First Challenge
1. Create a layout that works, and then use it more than once for different pages but keeping the same layout. If it works, use it!
The Second Challenge
2. For product usage, Use 3 different types of paper; 2 plain and one patterned, paint, and embellishments. Try using all of that on a scrapbook page.

Both challenges that I have presented are shown below. These are some of my FAVORITE pages I have ever done because they were so fun and personal! Some personal information has been blocked out for reasons...and the picture, well, it was in college days being GOOFY from studying so much during finals! OF course it gets caught on camera :)

If you do these challenges, please share with me!! Also if anyone out there is in the scrapbooking world, let me know, I love reading up on fellow scrapbooker's blogs!!
Blessings,
-L
